Tasak Telu




      Tasak telu is typical food of Karo culture from North Sumatera, Indonesia with the basic ingredients of the village chicken. Especially Tasak telu eaten with rice. It’s so delicious! 

      This food consists of boiled chicken mixed with chicken blood, cassava leaves, and grated coconut. While ordinary chicken meat cooking water is also served as a soup. Beside that soup can be drunk after all is eaten. The soup have a many nutrition, so this soup is very healthy for the body. 


       This food is always be staple food of Karo culture. Because this food is low fat and halal for anyone who eats it especially for our fellow Muslims. Why low fat? because basic ingredients of Tasak Telu is village chicken. As we now, village chicken is very good to consumption. Cutting thinner chicken will speed up cooking time and get better quality nutrition. different with broilers, broilers is usually is the six contamination  such as heavy metal which is usually found in some factory chicken foods. Chickens that are kept organically such as free-range chicken certainly do not contain special hormones, antibiotics or feed products that may contain contaminants. Beside that prevent osteoporosis, good for heart health, and rich in phosphorus. The phosphorus content in chicken is very effective in maintaining healthy teeth and bones. This includes supporting the health of the kidneys, liver, and central nervous system.

Beside that, the ingredients of tasak telu is cassava leaves.I think cassava leaves is favorite vegetables of Indonesian people. Many use cassava leaves for vegetables in various dishes. And almost all cultures in Indonesia use cassava leaves for vegetables. 
As well as Karo culture using cassava leaves in the Tasak telu. With the presence of cassava leaves, the balance of food to be consumed is balanced. There is free-range chicken, rice, plus vegetables that are no less beneficial.

The benefits of cassava leaves are Power source. The content of various kinds of proteins or essential amino acids found in cassava leaves is a source of energy or energy that is beneficial to humans. This essential amino acid substance helps convert carbohydrates into energy that the body will use to move. Moreover Body metabolism. Cassava leaves contain a lot of protein and are rich in vegetable protein sources. Vegetable protein which contains a lot of B vitamins is needed by the body to form body cells. The body's cells will form enzymes that help metabolic processes in the human body. Beside that Source of antioxidants and Digestion.
